In the blistering heat of summer, it can be difficult to look forward into the blustering winds of winter. But there is always something to be said of being prepared! In order to keep your style game on point it’s time to take that leap into autumn/winter 21, which currently feels a million miles away. But alas, there is no need to worry, as I am here to help in divulging the next season’s best upcoming trends.
Don’t be Shy, Go Sheer!
There is no better way to layer than in a sheer dress or blouse. If you’re in need of a little inspiration then why not look to the AW21 catwalks, Coperni being a standout for me, with their heavily beaded but shockingly translucent lilac vest. If you want to get a head of the game, then hop on over to Asos and take a peek at the Cropped Mesh Long Sleeve Top.
Be Bright and Bold
Just because the weather is likely to be dull, doesn’t mean that you should follow suit! Big and bold hues will be the rage of next season. And Roksanda didn’t fail to impress with their AW21 collection. From suits that use blocks of green and pink, to dresses that are coloured with deep oranges, striking scarlets and mellow mustards, you will be reminded of the summer months all winter long! But who’s to say you can’t start looking for that pop of colour now, and NA-KD certainly won’t let you down with the Linen Blend Suit Pants.
You are probably not shocked to see a re-emergence of Faux Fur, it’s an Autumn/Winter staple. And Burberry, truly the masters of the chic coat (trench is all I need to say), have brought some elegant faux fur throw overs to their AW21 collection and of course added some matching hats for good measure. Switch up your fake fur this winter with an absolute classic leopard print coat from the likes of New Look on Asos.
If it isn’t broken, then don’t fix it! And that is why floral prints return season after season. Who knows how to do a floral print better than Erdem? If you didn’t require further inspo, well it’s too late because here I go with Look 32 of Erdem’s Fall 2021 ready-to-wear collection, print perfection! It is unlikely that you will struggle finding florals, but the Kiona Dress from Faithfull the Brand, is just too good to miss out on.
Now one for the Gentlemen: Leather and Trenches
Menswear is next, where I am provided with assistance from GQ! It’s go go go for trench coats, and Louis Vuitton is a keen distributor in their Fall-Winter Collection, which admittedly is full to the brim with showstoppers! The Leather look is another one to keep an eye on, Fendi in particular when you consider Look 38 from the collection. For current shopping prospects All Saints are the leather jacket ‘Kings’, and of course Burberry for trench coats, if you are inclined to splash the cash.
For now we’re all still coasting around in sunglasses and short shorts. And anything heavier than that is sure to induce heat stroke! However, ensure you keep those peepers peeled ready for the Autumn/Winter collections to hit the High Street. Come on now, you don’t want to be late to the party do you?!
